Dr. Zhang Xue is currently being employed as a Research Associate in the University of Newcastle, Australia. He got his Bachelor and Master degree in the major of engineering mechanics in Dalian University of Technology, China in 2010. In 2014, he obtained his PhD in the University of Newcastle, Australia. Dr. Zhang’s research interests include numerical modelling methods in geotechnical engineering, simulation of geotechnical problems such as aerial/submarine landslides, granular flow, soil-structure interaction, hydraulic fracture, and desiccation crack.
