Rui Zhong received his B.A. in Hydropower Engineering at Wuhan University, China and M.S. in Hydraulic Structural Engineering at Hohai University, China. He received his Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Zhong published numerous conference proceedings and journal papers. He also worked independently on several research projects. His expertise lies in the cement chemistry, concrete deterioration mechanism, mixture design and optimization of ultra-high performance fiber reinforced concrete (UHP-FRC) and high performance pervious concrete (HPPC). Dr. Zhong also has in depth knowledge of micro structural characterization and relating micro structural features to macro properties.
